  • Publication of awareness material in Malayalam for the local community
  • A one day cycle / jeep jatha to villages alerting the people on the dangers of pesticide use. It will include local youth, and use street and corner meetings in at least 6 or 7 places during this campaign day with poster exhibitions, photos, pamphlets and talks.
  • A one day Exhibition and Seminar in a school for school children, teachers from schools in the panchayaths and nearby areas, womens’ groups, panchayath members etc. This will be a poster exhibition, and film showing along with seminar.

  • Seminar: "Pesticides Peril and Alternatives" would be organized in the Lahore Museum Auditorium in Lahore. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Director General National Agricultural Research Council who is a recognized campaigner on the issue would come from Islamabad give a presentation on the hazards of chemical pesticides. Dr. Tahir Hussain a veteran in organic agriculture would speak on the successful organic agriculture initiatives in Pakistan. Nasira Habib would give a brief presentation on the health hazards to women. The participants from various parts of Punjab represent NGOs, government depatments, farmers, media, students, doctors and women's groups.

  • A series of forums in two different peasant communities, and in one university in Quezon City. The forum will have RESIST member scientists or health professionals as resource persons together with farmers sharing their testimonies.

  • Lobbying and Discussion with Legislators
  • A photo exhibit featuring the historical background of Bhopal Tragedy; health, environment and socio-economic effects of pesticides; and the people’s resistance and alternatives. The exhibit will take place in selected peasant communities, schools, and universities.
