On 3rd December 2008, activities to draw attention to the life threatening impacts of chemical pesticides such as Endosulfan, on people and the environment will be taking place across Asia and the Pacific.

Who Needs Golden Rice?

Golden Rice is a genetically engineered rice with the capability to produce beta carotene, the precursor of Vitamin A. It is called Golden Rice (GR) because of its characteristic, orange/yellowish color, the color of carotenoids.
