On July 16, PAN Asia Pacific and PAN India conducted a webinar discussing the need for the Indian government to ban 27 toxic pesticides.
Last May, the Indian government announced that it is moving to ban 27 pesticides that are linked to health and environmental harm. However, the agrochemical industry quickly moved to oppose the ban. As the Indian government is set to decide in the coming weeks, various experts laid down the reasons why the ban is doable and necessary.
