For the 2024 update of the PAN International Consolidated List of Banned Pesticides (Last updated in May 2022), experts are invited to submit quotations.

Quotes are to be sent to the latest by May 31.

Terms of References (ToR):

– The consultancy includes updating the following two documents:

  • Explanatory Note for the Consolidated List of Banned Pesticides (download)
  • Consolidated List of Banned Pesticides (download)[spreadsheet]

– This includes assessing Annex 1 of the explanatory notes to: a) verify the indicated sources of Information by Country – b) verify that the resources used are up to date and c) make and document updates as needed, d) verify whether other official resources are available and e) integrate these resources into the update

– Assess any changes in the already included countries regarding authorisation/approval/registration status of the pesticides listed

– Assess all countries listed for additional bans or changes in status of existing bans

– Assess countries that are yet not listed for bans and add these countries to the list

– Provide 3 documents: the updated Explanatory Note; the updated spreadsheet; and a detailed list of the changes made (this is for internal uses only)

– provide PANAP and PAN International with drafts and a request for feedback by a certain date, and integrate the feedback into the documents.

– Finalise the updated three documents in the given layout the latest by end of August 2024.

 

Experts should provide the following skills:

– Extensive expertise in pesticide regulation (national and international)

– Familiarity with key UN chemicals conventions, their technical committees and resources

– Expertise in research and database compilation

– Information on the exclusion of conflicts of interest
