Job Title: Consultant

Location: Penang

Contract: 3 months (with possibility of renewal subject to funding)

Hours: Part Time

PANAP works with a vibrant array of civil society and people’s organisations and movements in the Asia-Pacific region. With over 100 partners, including broad coalitions of farmers, rural women, agricultural workers and indigenous people that it actively builds and supports, PANAP is committed to the reduction of pesticide use, the promotion of agroecology, food sovereignty, gender justice and human rights. PANAP is part of an international network of working to replace the use of hazardous pesticides with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate individual to work under PANAP’s Protect Our Children from Toxic Pesticides (POC) campaign. Specifically the role includes:

  1. Developing strategic campaign on POC that has policy advocacy and communications outreach components to prevent harm on children
  2. Facilitates the process of developing with partners effective and appropriate campaign strategies to achieve the goals and deliver the outcomes.

Educational level required:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree, preferably in sciences, social sciences, public health, management, development studies or other related fields
  • Language requirement: Fluency in English both verbal and written

Experience:

  • Five years or more, experience working in programme implementation, campaign coordination or programme management
