On Earth Day 2022, PAN Asia Pacific launches the first issue of CounterPoint, a policy paper on global and regional issues related to people’s food sovereignty and elimination of pesticide harms.<\/p>\n

Entitled \u201cTransforming agriculture: Agroecology and the right to land,\u201d CounterPoint\u2019s initial issue centres on the tenets of agroecology as an important pillar of an alternative food system to profit-driven, chemical-intensive industrial agriculture.<\/p>\n

Highlighted in CounterPoint\u2019s first issue are case studies, methodologies, and analyses in promoting agroecology for food sovereignty, agrarian reform, and sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n

By tackling agroecology through the lens of peasants\u2019 rights to land and resources, CounterPoint is PAN Asia Pacific\u2019s contribution to ongoing discourse among civil society, people\u2019s movements, and policymakers.<\/p>\n
