Tribute to Chandra Hewagallage, leader of peasant women in Sri Lanka

On Dec 21, 2021, we lost a dear friend and comrade in the struggle for the right to land and agroecology, especially of rural women. On that day, Chandra Hewagallage — the national coordinator of the Vikalpani National Women’s Federation Sri Lanka — passed away. To honor her memory and celebrate her meaningful life dedicated to the struggle of landless peasants and rural women, PAN Asia Pacific prepared a short video tribute for Chandra.
