Agroecology In Action
Agroecology is an economically viable and socially just approach to sustainable agriculture and food systems—our alternative to chemical-based, corporate agriculture.
Agroecology: Farming for the future
With increased understanding of the adverse effects of Highly Hazardous Pesticides has come global recognition of the need to replace chemical-intensive agriculture with agroecology. Here are PAN’s policy recommendations that define agroecology as the future of farming.
Principles of Agroecology
Agroecology is based on these five guiding principles:

Puts farmers first

Promotes soil health, biodiversity and natural ecosystem function

Integrates science with knowledge and practice

Promotes complexity over simplicity

Minimises waste and optimises energy use
16 Days of Global Action on Agroecology
The 16 Days of Global Action is an annual global campaign or a series of collective actions culminating on World Hunger Day. It focuses on the role of the youth in advancing agroecology and food sovereignty.
