Testimonies of Sumifru banana workers on effects of pesticides

In our recent webinar Toxic Fruit, banana plantation workers in Compostela Valley, Mindanao, Philippines, revealed their exposure to toxic pesticides. These are some of their testimonies.
Highly Hazardous Pesticides used in banana export plantation Sumifru include chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos, methomyl, thiamethoxam, glyphosate, glufosinate-ammonium and fluazinam. They are produced by member companies of CropLife International, which has entered into a partnership with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
